Andrea Bruns is a freelance Photographer based in North Vancouver, BC
I discovered my passion for Photography in 1975 at High School, where I took a Photography course in East Germany. In those days I didn’t own a camera, but the school's old Leica cameras, worked quite well to creatively capture our closer surroundings. We had no flash, so we learned how to make the best use of the existing light. I got fascinated with the results in intensity or softness while working with different film material as well development techniques, creating moods and scenes in my photographs just influenced by the lighting. This opened a new World for my creative expression. For a lot of years fate had other things in mind for me than Photography.
Driven by my passion to capture a precious moment and keep it forever with my camera I always took photographs of people and things around me. A few years ago fate changed and I decided to refresh my old skills and developed some new technical skills in digital photography.
I am an active member of the North Shore Photographic Society, NSPS.
