Born in East Berlin, Andrea Bruns found freedom in photography at the age of 13.
In a world of political constraint, the camera became her sanctuary — a space where light could overcome silence.

After escaping East Germany in 1980, Andrea began a new life of creative exploration. In 1993, she moved to Canada, where the vast Pacific horizons and quiet mountain ranges rekindled her artistic voice.

What began as a refuge has evolved into a lifelong pursuit: capturing the stillness, emotion, and light that exist between sky and sea.
