Based in North Vancouver, British Columbia, Sylvan began in 2017 as an exploration of the region’s temperate coastal forests. The vertical density and filtered light of these landscapes continue to inform the evolving series.
Ongoing and expanding, the collection reflects a sustained study of form, atmosphere, and restraint; translating the forest into abstract compositions shaped by rhythm and tonal subtlety.
