What is a personal Brand Photography session? And the 6 most important details you should know!
It is a professional Photography Session customized to your Brand and to tell your personal Brand Story.
As Brand Photographer my job is to tell your unique Brand Message through photographs of yourself, your services, products and customer experience. Once we have these down, you are set to promote your brand to your customers in a personalized fantastic way to connect and build a longterm relationship.
#1 Brand Photography Session Consultation
Every Brand Photography Session should include a Consultation meeting. At this meeting, you need to nail down the mission of your Brand, the number of brand images you need to cover your story, as well all the areas you would like to use your new brand images. Sometimes clients need to consult their web designer or print editor to provide the required image size. Or just give me their contact information and I will inquire about it my self.
If you book with Andrea Bruns Photography, I prefer to have these meetings at my clients Office, Store, Restaurant as this will give me the best insight into their brand. For my international clients, the first consultation meeting is done by phone or video call.
#2 Creating a Photo Shoot List
These include Photography of:
a) Your self at what you do best, and it doesn't matter you cook or teach Yoga, work as an accountant, carpenter, or manage your own hotel.
b) Practical Portrait Shoots, Lifestyle and Business Headshots. These are for press releases, blog articles, social media or magazine futures. I like to take these in a relevant location that shows some aspect of your personality and/or your profession.
c) Close up images, these might include products, portraits or images of any work you create. These images are perfect as a website background or work experience images for your blog or social media.
d) Images showing a natural motion through the brand environment. These are action focused wide-angle images capturing the environment where you work in... like a restaurant were you set up a table somewhere in the back or an interior designer who is setting pillows in their clients living area.
#3 Setting the Date and Time of the Brand Photography Session
Finding the perfect time to create your Brand Images. This can be sometimes difficult as I often advise the most natural images are taken at daylight. As it is important for food photography, but also for portraits to make the images natural stunning. However, I also have some portable close to daylight lighting equipment, which is easy to set up and convenient for travelling. Complex Brand Photography sessions are all day and are often shot at various locations. Planing out a session timeline and committing to it by all attendees will make it stress-free.
#4 Action, Camera, Lights - It's time for your Brand Photography Session
It's time to shot your Brand Images. Don't be nervous, with all the careful preparation it will be fun. Even if I ask you a few time to repeat some of the action, this is not because you are doing anything wrong, rather I like to get the best possible angles of anything, so we can represent your brand in the best looking way.
#5 Culling and Editing of your Brand Images - Choosing the best images
It will take some time to cull your images this means sorting the good once from the better once. Some clients tend to have their eyes closed at some of their brand portraits, or the angle doesn't look right., etc. But don't worry I will take enough images to eliminate these. We will go over your culled images together and define which images you like to use for which publication i.e. social media, website banner, background, print.
#6 Final Brand Image delivery
I will deliver your Brand images edited and sized for any media you like to use them for. So you don't need to do any further resizing for Instagram, Facebook, Web Banner or Background, Print, you name it.
